The Miami Heat are one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference to begin the 2025-26 season.

The Miami Heat have proved a lot of people wrong getting out to a hot 14-8 start.

They were able to survive the opening part of their schedule without Tyler Herro, who is now back.

The Heat have gotten tremendous all-around play from the likes of their young players and veteran talent like Norman Powell, who has been thriving since arriving in Miami.

He chose Kyle Anderson, who was in Miami for a year and a half.

Adebayo talked about what Anderson meant to the Heat and said he was versatile, adapting to different roles.

“To me, Kyle Anderson. Kyle Anderson was my teammate for a year and a half.

“Kyle just knew how to play basketball, but also, there would be times where he would play 10 minutes, or 30, then he would get a DNP, and then he would be out sixth man off the bench.

“He was in different roles every other day. Talking to him every day, I became a fan of Kyle because he just stayed so consistent.

“He’s one of the vets in the league you want around the locker room because he’s a great dude, but also, he shows up. He’s going to get his work in; he’s going to compete. He’s super consistent. Shout out, Kyle.”

Powell chose Fred VanVleet, who he played with in Toronto and got very close to during the team’s run to the championship in 2019.

VanVleet embodies playing hard every night and wearing his heart on his sleeve. He makes up for his lack of size with his tremendous effort on both ends.

Unfortunately, VanVleet is sidelined for likely the entire year, but he is a bonafide winner that plays the game the right way.
