The Portland Trail Blazers could not find the bucket down the stretch during a 122-116 loss Friday night in Detroit.

Portland surged ahead with an 11-point run midway through the fourth quarter. Shaedon Sharpe dunked one down, Jerami Grant sank a 3-pointer and Deni Avdija hit a mid-range jumper to put Portland up 108-103 with 3:27 to play.

But back to back turnovers along with a missed 3-point try opened the door for Detroit to rush back. The Pistons put on a 10-point spurt with Duncan Robinson hitting the winning free throws with 1:15 left.

Avdija finished with a game-high 35 points, while Grant scored 29 and Sharpe added 28.
