The Oklahoma City Thunder travel to face the Utah Jazz on Sunday. This will be the second matchup of the season between the squads. Last time, OKC dropped 144 points in an 18-point comeback win over Utah on Nov. 21.

The Thunder (22-1) have won 14 in a row. They’ve been the NBA’s best team. They made easy work of the Dallas Mavericks in a 132-111 win on Friday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had an efficient 33 points in three quarters.

Meanwhile, the Jazz (8-14) were on the wrong side of a 146-112 loss to the New York Knicks on Friday. Lauri Markennen only had 18 points and nine rebounds in the lopsided contest.

Thunder 123, Jazz 115: This will be an interesting test. The Thunder will be without Gilgeous-Alexander for the first time this season. It can’t be understated just how huge his absence will be. He’s a 30-point scoring machine that buries the opponent on the scoreboard. That said, the Jazz are in a rebuild. This is a prime opportunity for Williams and Holmgren to have monster outings as they scale up as OKC’s best scorers. I still think the Thunder will get the win, but it’ll be a lot closer than previously thought if the reigning MVP were healthy.
