Davis came into the night with averages of 18.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.7 blocks per contest while shooting 49.3% from the field and 35.0% from three-point range.
The 2020 NBA Champion had been coming off a game where he put up just two points while shooting 1/9 from the field.
With their victory over the Rockets, the Mavs improved to 9-16 in 25 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.
At home, they have gone 6-9 in the 15 games they have played in Dallas.
Following the Rockets, the Mavs will play their next game on Friday night when they host Michael Porter Jr. and the Brooklyn Nets.

As for the Rockets, they dropped to 15-6 in 21 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
They are 8-4 in the 12 games they have played on the road away from Houston.
