Naz Reid was asked by a reporter about his inability to pull off one move on the court that his teammate excels at.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, for the second season in a row, have had a mediocre start to the NBA season.

The Timberwolves have been a mediocre defensive team, which has played a huge part in their struggles so far.

Anthony Edwards has been stellar for the Timberwolves, but it hasn’t been enough. With a win over the LA Clippers, the Timberwolves are now 15-8 for the season.

One player who has been pivotal in their success so far has been Jaden McDaniels, especially with his mid-range shooting. But he isn’t the only 6’9 Timberwolves star working on his middie this season.

Naz Reid says he is trying to incorporate a mid-range game like Jaden McDaniels

Naz Reid spoke after the Minnesota Timberwolves’ win over the LA Clippers. The former Sixth Man of the Year was asked about developing a mid-range game like Jaden McDaniels.

Reid admitted that he has worked on his mid-range game, but doesn’t utilize it much as his other skill sets because his game hasn’t declined on any level.

“I’m trying. Don’t worry, it’s coming. I’m working with Jaden. Not that I haven’t been comfortable with it, but recently, over the last year and a half, I started to work on those things in the summer.

“But for me, if my game isn’t broken, I’m not going to fix it. If I have to in that scenario, I will. But it’s coming.”

For context, Reid is far from a mid-range shooter, having attempted just 27 mid-range shots across his entire career.

Anthony Edwards cannot keep carrying the Minnesota Timberwolves

The performances of Anthony Edwards have proven to be insufficient when it comes to the Minnesota Timberwolves’ success this season.

Despite the superstar averaging 28.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game, Edwards has shown he cannot single-handedly win games for them

If the Minnesota Timberwolves want any chance at finding sustained success this season, they must be willing to make some moves.

Perhaps the Timberwolves make a trade for Ja Morant, even if it means giving up an asset like Rudy Gobert.
