In his first career start on Saturday night in Cleveland, Pat Spencer made it count.

After back-to-back impressive performances against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers, Spencer picked right back up where he left off on Saturday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Despite the Warriors missing multiple pieces due to injury on Saturday, including Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green, it was Spencer who helped spark the Warriors for a shorthanded upset victory over the Cavaliers on the road.

Spencer registered new career-highs in points and made 3-pointers in the Warriors’ 99-94 win on Saturday. The Northwestern product tallied a team-high 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field with a trio of made 3-pointers to go along with seven assists, four rebounds and a steal in 29 minutes.

Spencer again came alive in the fourth quarter. Spencer dueled Cavs All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell down the stretch. While Mitchell scored 16 points in the fourth quarter, Spencer answered with 12 points to keep the Warriors afloat. Spencer has now scored 12 points in the fourth quarter in back-to-back games for the Warriors.

Over his last three games, Spencer is averaging 17.3 points on 58.8% shooting from the field with 5.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds per contest.

Spencer will have the chance to build off his career night when the Warriors meet the Chicago Bulls on Sunday evening for the second leg of a road back-to-back.
