Charlotte Hornets vs Denver Nuggets Preview
The Charlotte Hornets are having their typical season, at times they look like a talented NBA team that is just a step away from being truly competitive, while in other moments they look completely out of rhythm, as if they had assembled for the first time. Their most recent game, a win over the Toronto Raptors, was one of those nights when they look very good and make you wonder why they haven’t achieved better results for years. Still, there are far more disastrous performances, where they look like complete amateurs. This was only their seventh win of the season, along with 16 losses, and they currently sit in 12th place in the Eastern Conference.
Kon Knueppel, a rookie from this year’s draft, was once again the Hornets’ best player and it seems the team made a great choice with him, but he still needs a lot of development before proving himself in serious matchups. After missing a large part of the season, young Frenchman Tidjane Salaun recently returned to the lineup, and since recovering from injury, he has been playing very well. The two of them, together with LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges, and Brandon Miller, are expected to become the core of this team, but there are still many question marks, especially regarding how these young players will respond when the games start carrying more weight. The Hornets rebound the ball very well, but this time they face a team that is even better than them in that area.
Unlike some of the previous seasons, when they entered the year weaker than they ended the last one, it seems that the Denver Nuggets finally learned their lesson and entered this NBA season stronger than they finished the previous one. Yes, Michael Porter Jr. left, but several players were added who can contribute significantly. The Nuggets started the season extremely well on offense, but the defense was also strong, at least until Aaron Gordon’s injury. Results began to suffer, and they recorded three losses in their last seven games, all of them at home. Still, after 22 games, they hold third place in the Western Conference with a 16–6 record. In their most recent outing, they defeated the Atlanta Hawks on the road in a very tight finish.
Once again, Denver’s offense was the key to the victory, scoring 80 points in the second half — 40 in each quarter. They were down by 23 points late in the first half, but managed to turn the game around and build an 11-point lead early in the fourth quarter. Still, the game went down to the wire, where the Nuggets ultimately prevailed. As in almost every game this season, Nikola Jokic led the way — he scored 40 points, added nine rebounds, and eight assists. Interestingly, with his final assist, he passed Allen Iverson on the all-time regular-season assists list. The next name ahead of him is Michael Jordan, who has only eight more assists. It’s an incredible achievement by Jokic, who still has at least five elite seasons ahead of him, making it almost certain that he will become the center with the most assists in the history of basketball. What is concerning at the moment is the noticeable drop in defensive production caused by the injuries to Christian Braun and especially Aaron Gordon. This is something the Nuggets must address, as their offense cannot bail them out forever. Another worrying trend is the increasing number of losses in clutch situations, especially considering that in previous years they dominated in close games.

Charlotte Hornets vs Denver Nuggets Best Betting Tip and Prediction
As much as it may seem that the Hornets are on a slight upward trend, it is mostly the result of favorable circumstances, two wins over the Raptors, who are clearly declining, do not mean much. The losses they suffered before that were quite convincing. There is absolutely no scenario in which the Hornets can slow down Nikola Jokic, who will likely deliver another monstrous performance, leading the visitors to a comfortable double-digit win on the road.
