The Brooklyn Nets (5-17) have had a tough time stringing wins together this season, but they were able to pull off their first two-game winning streak before losing. Brooklyn will have another chance to begin a new winning streak in front of their home fans against the visiting New Orleans Pelicans (3-20) and if you’re wondering how you can watch all the action live, you’ve come to the right place!
The Nets come into this game following a 123-110 loss to the Utah Jazz on Thursday in which Brooklyn had control of the game for the first three quarters before completely dropping the ball in the fourth quarter. Forward Noah Clowney led the way for the Nets with 29 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three blocks while forward Ziaire Williams was huge off the bench with 23 points.
The Pelicans enter this matchup after a 125-116 loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday in which the fourth quarter proved to be where the young New Orleans roster faltered. Forward Trey Murphy III had 21 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists while guard Jeremiah Fears had 20 points, seven rebounds, and six assists as he takes over the starting point guard spot.

Advice and Prediction
The Nets and their fanbase will most likely be happy to know that Brooklyn is finally a favorite in a game for the first time this season. That fact is probably a combination of Brooklyn being mostly healthy at this point while the Pelicans are missing some key pieces from their roster, specifically forward Zion Williamson, who some people consider a bust due to his injury-prone nature.
What will make this matchup interesting is how the outcome of this game could affect draft positioning given that both teams are still rebuilding. While New Orleans is further along in its rebuild with players like Williamson, Dejounte Murray, and Trey Murphy III on the roster, the Pelicans seem destined for another injury-riddled season and to make matters worse, they don’t have control of their own first-round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
The Nets and Pelicans are in similar positions in terms of the qualify of the rosters as both teams rank in the bottom half of the league in offensive rating, defensive rating, and in pace. What will be the difference in the contest is whether Michael Porter Jr. can have another 30-point outing and if he does, Brooklyn could have its sixth win of the season.
Prediction: Nets 115, Pelicans 110
