The Boston Celtics have enjoyed plenty of success in recent years. Conversely, the Washington Wizards have seemingly forgotten what winning in the NBA is like. This juxtaposition helps explain why the C’s utterly dominated the Wizards on Thursday night during a 146-101 road win, marking Boston’s 10th straight victory over D.C.
This 10-game run is the Celtics’ longest winning streak against the Wizards of the 21st century. In some regards, it’s technically their best streak against them ever, as the previous ones occurred in the 60s and 80s (with both also spanning 10 games) when the Wizards were still the Baltimore Bullets and Washington Bullets, respectively.

Thursday’s 45-point drubbing marked the largest margin of victory for any team in the NBA this season. Celtics star Jaylen Brown wasn’t even active for the beatdown, but the Green Team didn’t need him to take care of business versus the now 3-18 Wiz.
To make matters even worse for Washington, nine of its last 10 losses to Boston have been by double digits. Let’s take a look at the final scores from Boston’s longest active winning streak against a single franchise:
