LeBron James remains on the Los Angeles Lakers’ injury report as they are set to pay a visit to the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night.

At the start of the season, James was not in the lineup as he was recovering from a sciatica injury. The Lakers ruled him out for at least four weeks, putting his debut on hold until late November.

In addition to his sciatica injury, James is battling a foot-related setback. As a result, his status has been in question leading up to the last few games.

Will LeBron James Play vs. Philadelphia 76ers?

The Lakers won’t miss out on utilizing LeBron James in Philadelphia on Sunday. The team announced to reporters that he was deemed available to play in the matchup against the Sixers.

When the Lakers reached their first of two matchups against the Utah Jazz on November 18, LeBron checked in with a restriction of under 30 minutes. He produced 11 points, 12 assists, and three rebounds in the Lakers’ dominant victory over Utah.

A few nights later, LeBron was able to clear 30 minutes of action, and hasn’t been restricted since. While there’s a sign he’s been progressing, the Lakers have still held him out of two games since he debuted.

James missed the Lakers’ November 30 matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. He returned to the court for the matchups against the Phoenix Suns and the Toronto Raptors. When the Lakers reached their latest outing on December 5 against the Boston Celtics, James was ruled inactive again.

The Lakers struggled to defeat the Celtics. While shorthanded, LA collected a 126-105 loss. They enter Sunday’s action against the Sixers with a 16-6 record. The Lakers will get Luka Doncic back in the mix after he missed the last couple of games due to personal reasons.

The Lakers and the Sixers are slated for a 7:30 PM ET tip.
