Lakers at 76ers picks and predictionsPrediction

PASS.

With Doncic back and James potentially playing, the Lakers are simply the better team and should win as -190 favorites. However, they are not worth the risk at that price, especially against a Philly team that can be dangerous when mostly healthy. Pass here and look to the spread and/or total instead.

LEAN 76ERS +4.5 (-105).

If Philly can get Embiid to play, then this becomes a much tougher game for L.A., as the Lakers won’t have a defensive matchup for him that they feel confident in.

Philly is also 3-1 ATS in its last 4 matchups against the Lakers and 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings with L.A. Finally, the Lakers are just 1-2 ATS in their last 3 games, while the Sixers are 3-1 ATS in their last 4.

This is a lean because the 76ers have no defensive answer for Doncic and this bet depends heavily on how many of Philly’s questionable players actually suit up.

BET OVER 233.5 (-105).

Assuming relative health for both squads, expect a very offense-heavy matchup in which the stars put up big numbers. Neither defense will string together many consecutive stops, as Philly will see a lot of success from beyond the arc, while L.A. will likely dominate more in the paint.

The Over has hit in 6 straight games for L.A. and is 16-6 for the Lakers on the season. The Over is also 3-0 in the last 3 matchups between these squads in Philly.

Be aware that the Under has hit in 3 straight games for the Sixers.
