BARRY, Ill. — West Hancock girls basketball was back in action on Tuesday night, bouncing back with a 56-28 win over Barry Western.
The Titans got off to a fast start and led 20-7 by the end of the first quarter and took a commanding 37-11 lead to halftime.
It was the first game for West Hancock since their 47-38 loss to Quincy Notre Dame last Thursday, which was the first defeat for the Titans this season.
Titans junior Grace Grothaus scored a game-high 15 points, while also getting one board, two steals and one assist.
West Hancock senior Jadyn Climer finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and four assists.
Titans freshman Maci Haas ended the night with 11 points, six boards, two steals and three assists.
Western sophomore Mya Sheppard scored a team-high 11 points, while sophomore Sophie Rennecker added eight points and freshman Reese Bushmeyer chipped in seven points.
Up next for Western (1-7) is a home game against Carrollton (7-2) at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Up next for West Hancock (5-1) is a road game against Lewistown (5-1) at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
