WILLMAR — Four starters finished in double figures to help the Ridgewater men’s basketball team get back into the win column in a high-scoring affair on Friday night.
Ridgewater captured a 97-94 win over Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range. The Warriors, who are receiving votes in the NJCAA Division III rankings, are 8-2. Mesabi Range is 3-6.
DeAndre Holloway and Brenton McKinney led the way for Ridgewater.
Holloway, a 6-foot-7 sophomore forward from Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, recorded team-bests of 23 points and 12 rebounds. He secured his eighth double-double. Holloway is averaging 18.6 points and 11.6 rebounds per contest this season.
McKinney, a 6-2 freshman guard from Lake Region High School in Winter Haven, Florida, supplied a career-high 22 points. He shot 7 of 14 from the field and made 6 of 10 free throws.
Also for the Warriors, 6-0 sophomore guard Tyrese Mayo contributed 14 points and 6-3 sophomore guard Connor Whittet tacked on 10 points. Mayo is from Winter Haven, Florida, and Whittet is from St. Clair.
Reggie Adams scored a game-high 26 points for Mesabi Range, which got 21 points from Tahje Johnson.

Madison Norsten tied her career-high with 27 points and Julia Hines and Charlize Arcoren both scored their career-bests to lift the Warriors past Mesabi Range at Willmar.
Norsten, a 5-foot-9 freshman guard/forward from Willmar, shot 7 of 19 from the field and made 9 of 10 free throws for Ridgewater, which improves to 5-7. She also shot 4-for-9 on three-pointers.
Hines, a 5-2 sophomore guard from Randolph, caught fire from beyond the arc, shooting 7-for-12 before finishing with 23 points. Overall, she shot 8 of 13 from the field.
Arcoren, a 5-6 freshman guard from St. Francis Indian School in Rosebud, South Dakota, tallied 18 points on 6 of 8 shooting and 4 of 5 free throws.
