Devin Booker has missed basketball action for three games. With the Phoenix Suns sitting in seventh place in the Western Conference at 14-11, they now have a lot of ground to cover if they hope to remain in the playoff picture.
However, without Booker on the floor, the Suns are struggling to consistently win games. The question now is, when will Booker return for Phoenix?

NBA Insider Delivers Major Injury Update on Devin Booker
The Suns are set to face the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. It was against the Lakers that Phoenix lost Booker from their lineup. On Dec. 1, when Phoenix played in LA, Booker sustained a right groin strain.
The Suns’ star was able to play 10 minutes before returning to the locker room. Booker put up 11 points, three assists, and two rebounds. Fortunately for the Suns, the rest of the team stepped up and secured a surprising 125-108 victory without their star guard.
Fast forward to the present, and it appears Booker might get a chance to beat LA again in their rematch on Sunday. According to NBA insider Duane Rankin, Booker is expected to play against the Lakers in the rematch.
Rankin reported that the team’s head coach, Jordan Ott, has put Booker in the clear. He participated in the pregame workout, and all signs point toward him playing against LA.
“‘All seems well.’ Suns coach Jordan Ott on Devin Booker (right groin strain), saying Dillon Brooks (left Achilles soreness) and Booker will go through pregame workout, but all signs are good towards them playing tonight vs. Lakers,” Rankin reported on X. The Suns’ 7:30 p.m. injury report listed Booker as available, along with Dillon Brooks, who is managing left Achilles soreness. However, the Suns will remain without the injured Jalen Green.

While this is good news for Suns fans, Phoenix shouldn’t take the Lakers for granted. Luka Dončić and LeBron James will undoubtedly be seeking revenge after losing to a Booker-less Suns team on Dec. 1.
However, the Lakers will be without Austin Reaves on Sunday, which could limit the team’s offensive firepower. Ultimately, it will come down to how Dončić and James perform.
