The Portland Trail Blazers have assigned center Yang Hansen and forward Rayan Rupert to the Rip City Remix following last night’s win against the Golden State Warriors, the organization announced.
The opportunity will give the young duo the chance to get some run with Portland’s G League affiliate. The Blazers have three days off before they host the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night.
The Remix will host the Stockton Kings at the Chiles Center today at 10:30 a.m. Pacific and tomorrow at 6 p.m. Pacific as part of the G League Tip Off Tournament.
Rupert enjoyed a night out against the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday night, hitting 14 points, 6 boards, 3 assists and 2 steals. The young wing is averaging 2.1 points on 30.0 percent from three, 1.8 boards and 0.4 assists in 8.6 minutes per game this season.
Yang, who was taken by the Blazers with the 16th pick in June’s NBA Draft, is yet to see consistent court time, playing 13 games and averaging 2.6 points, 1.8 boards and 0.8 assists in 7.7 minutes.
