The Los Angeles Lakers and Lotus Communications say the storied National Basketball Association franchise has a new Spanish-language radio broadcast channel at “980 La Mera Mera” KFWB.

The games are moving from Lotus affiliate KWKW (1330), which was announced as the team’s Spanish-language radio home in September.

In a news release, the Lakers and Lotus say the new platform will provide “increased opportunities for fans across Southern California to tune-in to comprehensive Spanish-language radio coverage of Lakers games, with KFWB available across Los Angeles, Oxnard, the Inland Empire and San Diego.”

The change is effective this Thursday (Dec. 18), when the Lakers will face the Utah Jazz. Game broadcasts will also stream live on the “980 La Mera Mera” app.
