Should the Boston Celtics trade Anfernee Simons for Milwaukee Bucks big man Myles Turner? At first glance, the swap would make all of the sense in the world given the thin nature of the Celtics frontcourt rotation, and the seeming bad fit of Simons on Boston’s roster so far this season, especially considering the former Portland Trail Blazers guard is on a hefty expiring deal that goes away if the Celtics can’t find a way to integrate Simons or trade him away.
But then comes the whole second apron and repeater tax situation, which would be a lot harder to sort out to a sustainable level for the rest of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum’s prime years should they bring on Turner’s sizable and lengthy contract. Would it be worth the squeeze?
