See the latest injury update for Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, who is on the injury report ahead of Wednesday’s game vs. the Grizzlies.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has officially been ruled out for Wednesday’s game vs. the Memphis Grizzlies due to injury maintenance.

Edwards initially entered the day questionable on the injury report while he nurses a right foot issue that’s sidelined him for the last two games. It appears the team will err on the side of caution tonight and hold him out of the contest instead, perhaps working to get the star healthy for Friday’s contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

As seen over the last two games without Edwards active, Bones Hyland likely slides into the starting lineup at point guard while Donte DiVincenzo moves over to shooting guard. With 36 minutes in Minnesota’s last game, Hyland notched 18 points and five assists in an expanded role.

Edwards, 24 years old, is in the midst of a career-best campaign as one of the NBA’s premier scorers. He averages 28.7 points while shooting 50.0% from the field and 41.6% from three-point range, all three marks of which represent career-highs. The guard also pitches in 4.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists per night.

The Timberwolves are 17-9 on the season and enter as 7.5-point favorites at home against the Grizzlies tonight on DraftKings Sportsbook.
