The Miami Heat hope to snap their five-game skid Thursday night against the Brooklyn Nets. Tip-off will be inside Barclays Center at 7:30 p.m. EST.
This marks the first off three-straight on the road for Miami, including the first night of a back-to-back. The Heat have struggled on the road this season, going just 4-8 despite sporting the NBA’s 13th-best road NET Rating (1.8) and fifth-best defense.
That said, the Heat will have to correct their struggles offensively, first and foremost. Their defense hasn’t been perfect, but it’s kept them in games. Their offense, however, has shot — not pun intended — them in the foot. They have scored just 108, 105, 111, 108 and 96 points over their last five games, respectively.
Miami will be without Tyler Herro (toe) for the second-straight game. Thursday marks his 21st missed game (of 27 total) of the season. They will also be without Pelle Larsson and Nikola Jovic, who suffered a scary fall in Monday’s 10-point loss to the Toronto Raptors.
Brooklyn enters winners of four of its last six, including an emphatic 127-82 win over the Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Milwaukee Bucks earlier this week. Can the Miami Heat get back on track?! Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
