The Oklahoma City Thunder will travel to face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. It will be the second matchup of the season between the squads. Last time, OKC did just enough to get a close win on Nov. 26.
The Thunder (25-2) returned to action after a four-day break. They collected a 122-101 win over the LA Clippers on Thursday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 32 points, six assists and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves (17-10) were on the wrong side of a 116-110 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. Julius Randle had 21 points but on 9-of-21 shooting in the close contest.

Another close game. We saw 10 lead changes in the third quarter. Gilgeous-Alexander has 24 points. Get ready for some clutch-time minutes.
An ugly second quarter cracked the door open for the Timberwolves. The Thunder couldn’t get any offensive rhythm going. Per usual, the outside shot is the biggest culprit. That seems to never travel well for OKC. Meanwhile, Minnesota has taken advantage of being in the bonus for seven minutes. It went to the free-throw line plenty of times to get back into it.
Really good first quarter for the Thunder. Gilgeous-Alexander, Williams and Holmgren have combined for 28 of OKC’s points. All three have been awesome. Meanwhile, Randle has eaten on the offensive glass for Minnesota.
Well, Chris Finch was ejected. He didn’t agree with a non-call on Edwards. The Timberwolves crowd egged him on. Bravo on the theatrics.
The Thunder will start Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Lu Dort, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein. The Timberwolves will start Anthony Edwards, Donte DiVincenzo, Jaden McDaniels, Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert.
