The Boston Celtics won a close game vs. the Miami Heat 129-116 at TD Garden on Friday (Dec. 19) night that took them until the game’s final frame (fitting, with fan-favorite guard alum Isaiah Thomas in the audience) for Boston to break out and seize control of the game.
That Boston shot a full 10% better than Miami certainly did not hurt in a contest where the margins were close but tended to favor the Heat, the late outburst from players like Derrick White and Sam Hauser helping Boston to put the game away for the Celtics in the fourth quarter as a uniformed IT implored his former ball club to do exactly what they ended up pulling off.
