The Memphis Grizzlies‘ injury crisis continues.
After missing the first 26 games of the 2025-26 season with a knee injury that also caused him to miss the end of last season, Brandon Clarke returned on Dec. 17 against the Timberwolves and scored six points in 16 minutes. He started the Grizzlies’ Dec. 20 home game against the Wizards but almost immediately left with an injury.
Just a few minutes in, Clarke grabbed his leg and quickly exited the game. He first sat on the Grizzlies bench before getting up and walking to the locker room. The Grizzlies later said he was doubtful to return with right calf soreness.
The Grizzlies were already without nine players because of various injuries, including star guard Ja Morant.
Clarke has battled injuries throughout his tenure with the Grizzlies, but his return was much needed because of the injury to starting center Zach Edey. Without Clarke, Jock Landale is in line to play significantly more minutes as one of the only available players in the frontcourt.
