Golden State Warriors Trade Steph Curry to the Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets have emerged as a true contending team as they hold a 17-6 record, and are the fifth-best team in the Western Conference. The Rockets made the big move of trading for Kevin Durant in the offseason and it paid off. Houston showed they are willing to do whatever it takes to win this season, but for this to be accomplished, they need extra scorers on the team, specifically at the guard spot.
Trading for Steph Curry would be the exact move Houston needs to solidify their NBA Finals run. With Curry, he is still performing at a high level this season, even at 37 years old, as he is averaging 28.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. Curry’s scoring presence alongside a physically imposing guard like Amen Thompson and big man like Alperen Sengun would create a dominant trio that would be a nightmare for opposing teams.
The Rockets would give Steph Curry the best chance to win one last championship alongside Durant, while the Warriors could look to get talent like Reed Sheppard and Fred VanVleet in return plus the draft capital needed to not only rebuild for the future but also stay competitive.
