Giannis Antetokounmpo again addresses rumors of future with Bucks
Giannis Antetokounmpo again talks about rumors about his contentment and future with the Milwaukee Bucks on Dec. 18, 2025.
The Milwaukee Bucks open a five-game road trip in Minneapolis tonight as they visit the Timberwolves at the Target Center. The Bucks are 11-17 overall and are just 3-9 on the road while the Timberwolves are 18-10 and 10-5 at home.
The Bucks blew a 16-point lead early in the third quarter and the Timberwolves tied the game 75-75 going into the fourth. Milwaukee scored just 15 points in the quarter as a whole, and only nine points in the final 9 minutes, 51 seconds.
Milwaukee took a 60-48 halftime lead thanks to 13 points and five assists by guard Kevin Porter Jr. Kyle Kuzma added 11 points for the Bucks. Minnesota shot under 20% from behind the 3-point line.
The Bucks started fast, taking a 13-4 lead in the opening minutes and held on to take a 29-23 lead into the second quarter. The Timberwolves were just 6 of 20 from the field in the opening quarter.
The Bucks are in need of a victory as they have dropped further out of the play-in picture in the Eastern Conference, two games behind the Chicago Bulls in the loss column. They are five games in the loss column out of the playoff picture.
Is Giannis playing?
No. The Bucks’ superstar strained the soleus muscle in his right calf on Dec. 3 and has been out ever since. He said on Dec. 18 that he was initially told it was a four-to-six week recovery timeline. It is the same injury he suffered at the end of the 2024 season that forced him to miss the playoffs.
What time is the Bucks game?
An early tip-off time is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
What channel are the Bucks on?
The game will be broadcast locally on FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin with Lisa Byington, Marques Johnson and Stephen Watson on the call.
