STORRS, CT (WFSB) – The University of Connecticut women’s basketball team had another strong week.
The Huskies are expected to maintain their hold on the top spot in the AP Top 25 Women’s College Basketball Poll. The poll typically updates on Monday afternoon.
Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong helped keep UConn perfect through 12 games. They took down another ranked opponent in No. 11 Iowa on Saturday.

Fudd scored 27 while Strong added 23 in the 90-64 victory.
The Huskies have beaten four ranked teams this season, including No. 5 Michigan, No. 16 Louisville and No. 19 Southern California.
UConn has two ranked games left on its schedule. They are home games against No. 17 Tennessee and No. 20 Notre Dame.
UConn’s next game is against Butler on Dec. 29. Tip off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
