MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies announced Monday that forward Brandon Clarke would be out at least three weeks after he sustained a calf strain during a home game Saturday night.
Clarke will be reevaluated in about three weeks after he suffered his injury during the first quarter of the Grizzlies’ 130-122 loss to the Washington Wizards at FedExForum. He was playing in his second game of the season after returning from injury.
On Nov. 11, the Grizzlies announced that Clarke was set to return in 6-9 weeks after he had had an arthroscopic procedure to relieve right knee synovitis earlier in the fall. The knee issue popped up during offseason training.
Clarke had a procedure on his right knee in mid-March to repair a high-grade sprain to his posterior cruciate ligament.
