The Dallas Mavericks (11-19) host the Denver Nuggets (21-7) on Tuesday night. The game is nationally televised on NBC/Peacock and is the first of many consecutive nationally televised games in a row. Dallas lost last night in kind of embarrassing fashion to the New Orleans Pelicans. The Nuggets also played last night and beat the tar out of the Utah Jazz.

Heres the main things you need to know before tipoff.

Of course the Dallas Mavericks injury report is awful. It’s easier to go person by person alphabetically. Max Christie is doubtful; it would appear that the illness which has worked its way through the roster is onto him now. Dante Exum, Kyrie Irving, and Dereck Lively are still out. Dwight Powell counts among the sick now and is listed as doubtful as well. Klay Thompson is doubtful with knee soreness. PJ Washington is questionable with an ankle sprain.

For the Nuggets, Christian Braun is out with an ankle injury. Aaron Gordon is still out with the hamstring strain. Jonas Valanciunas and Peyton Watson are listed as probable with various maladies.

Dallas won the last game because I don’t think the Nuggets took Dallas seriously. I expect a much different game this time around, but again, Dallas always plays hard. They gave away the game last night, and they need their guards to actually show up and play tonight. Should be a fun game that’s over early compared to our normal home game standards.

Consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start around 10:15 pm. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
