In Monday’s loss to the Pelicans, Anthony Davis led the way for the Mavericks as he recorded 35 points and 17 rebounds while Klay Thompson added 20 points and five rebounds of his own off the bench.

Now Dallas will try to bounce back at home on Tuesday as they face off against the Nuggets in a tough matchup.

On the other side, Denver enters Tuesday’s contest with a 21-7 record after defeating the Utah Jazz at home on Monday night.

Jamal Murray led the way for the Nuggets in Monday’s victory as he ended the game with 27 points, six rebounds and five assists while Cameron Johnson added 20 points and four assists of his own.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Tuesday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Nuggets, they have four players listed on their injury report, including both Jonas Valanciunas and Peyton Watson.

Denver has listed Valanciunas as probable due to an illness and he is expected to play after he was able to play through the illness on Monday night against the Jazz.

The Nuggets have also listed Watson as probable with a right trunk contusion and he is expected to play after he was able to play through the injury on Monday.

Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun have been ruled out for Tuesday’s game as they continue to be sidelined while recovering from injuries.

On the other side, the Mavericks have eight players listed on their injury report, including both Thompson and P.J. Washington.

Dallas has listed Thompson as doubtful due to left knee soreness and he is expected to miss Tuesday’s contest after he was able to play through the injury on Monday.

With Thompson likely to be sidelined against the Nuggets, Naji Marshall and Caleb Martin could both have increased roles.

The Mavericks have also listed Max Christie as doubtful with an illness while Dwight Powell and Brandon Williams are both listed as questionable.

Washington has also been listed as questionable with right midfoot soreness and he is in danger of missing his first game since December 5.

Kyrie Irving, Dereck Lively II and Dante Exum have all been ruled out as they continue to recover from injuries.
