Dominick Barlow, Quentin Grimes, and VJ Edgecombe are all OUT due to an illness #Sixers

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia 76ers will be a bit short-handed when they take on the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night in the final home game of the 2025 portion of the schedule. The Sixers will be looking to others to pick up a win over the Nets.
While they already knew they would be without Kelly Oubre Jr. and Trendon Watford, they will also be without three key pieces to the rotation.
VJ Edgecombe, Quentin Grimes, and Dominick Barlow are all going to be sidelined for this contest due to an illness. They were all listed as questionable, but the Sixers decided to rule them out.
Initially, it was only Grimes and Barlow who were listed as questionable with an illness, but the Sixers then had to add Edgecombe to the list which led to Philadelphia canceling morning shootaround on Tuesday.
“It has kind of gone for a bit,” coach Nick Nurse said before the game. “It probably started with Tyrese (Maxey), but that would seem to be an isolated case, and now it’s kind of making its way a little bit, obviously. The guys that weren’t feeling great yesterday didn’t report to practice. This morning when we didn’t see much improvement and added another to the list, we postponed shootaround as you guys well know. You probably would have been here this morning. Just keeping the guys away and until we can bring them to the game.”
Maxey recently missed two games with an illness and it has since spread around to others. It’s just that time of the year and the Sixers will look to others in the absence of Edgecombe, Grimes, and Barlow.
Tip off from the Xfinity Mobile Arena is set for 7 p.m. EST.
