The Philadelphia 76ers have been in need of an athletic forward who can make plays on both ends of the floor amid the injuries to Kelly Oubre Jr. and Trendon Watford. After Tuesday’s 114-106 loss to the Brooklyn Nets, they decided to bring up a player from their G League affiliate who fits that mold.
The Sixers will bring in MarJon Beauchamp on a two-way deal and waive rookie guard Hunter Sallis in a corresponding move. Beauchamp was the No. 24 overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2022 NBA draft and has career averages of 4.1 points and 1.9 rebounds.

Beauchamp is averaging 26.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting 50% from deep for the Delaware Blue Coats.
The Sixers will now have another long and athletic wing that coach Nick Nurse can turn to. The three two-way players are now Beauchamp, Dominick Barlow, and Jabari Walker following this move. Sallis owned one of those spots which is why he was waived to make room for Beauchamp.
