CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Cleveland Cavaliers center Evan Mobley took 50 local foster children shopping for a night they won’t soon forget.
The Mobley Family Foundation hosted its second annual Mobley Holiday Magic event where foster children and their families were given $300 to shop for the holidays at Walmart in Cleveland.
“We’re doing it even bigger this year,” Mobley said. “We’ve got more families, more kids and more money going out to all the kids so they can get whatever they want for Christmas.”
Giving back to foster children is a cause that’s personal to Mobley, who grew up with foster children in his home.
“We know how Christmas time and holiday times can feel,” Mobley said. “We’re just trying to get out here and give back to all the families that we can.”
