Given his playing status currently being designated as probable, there seems to be some optimism that Horford will be able to give it a go when the Warriors take the floor on Christmas against Dallas. Horford has been out of the lineup in recent games for the Warriors, last suiting up exactly three weeks ago in a narrow road loss at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Joining Horford on the injury report is Seth Curry, who is out for this game due to left glute injury management.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks have a crowded injury report, with Dwight Powell and Klay Thompson both being listed as probable, PJ Washington as questionable, and Derek Lively II as out.

Overall, the Warriors and Mavericks have had some entertaining battles in the year-plus since Thompson left the Bay Area to join the Mavericks. Of course, the Mavericks team he is currently suiting up for looks a lot different than the one he initially joined in the summer of 2024, but there is some reason for optimism in Dallas due to the play of number one overall draft pick Cooper Flagg, who is currently in the driver’s seat to win the Rookie of the Year award.

In any case, the Warriors and Mavericks are slated to tip off shortly after 5:00 pm ET on Thursday from the Bay Area.
