The Chicago Bulls look to extend their five-game winning streak as face the Antetokounmpo-less Milwaukee Bucks.
The Chicago Bulls look to continue their five-game winning streak as they face the Milwaukee Bucks who are currently without two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. This is the second time the two teams will face each other this season, with the first matchup in Milwaukee where the Bulls fell to the Bucks 126-110. Meanwhile, the Bucks look to keep weathering the storm with Antetokounmpo out and look to get back in the win column as they lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 125-104 on Friday.
Bulls vs. Bucks Preview
The Bulls are currently in the middle of a six game homestand and they started their homestand with a win over the Philadelphia 76ers 109-102. It was a grind it out, low scoring affair where the Bulls bench led the way scoring 59 points. The Bulls had 31 assists and six players in double-digits, which has been a major part of the recipe for success in their five-game winning streak. While it was a low scoring game and the starters struggled, the Bulls ended the game on a 10-0 run to get the victory in crunch time.
On the other hand, the Milwaukee Bucks have lost four of their last five games after dropping their most recent game to the Grizzlies. While the team clearly misses Antetokounmpo, they have two guards trying to keep the team afloat. Kevin Porter Jr has returned from injury and comes in averaging 20.4 points per game and 7.5 assists. Ryan Rollins, who has arguably been the Bucks’ second best player this season, is averaging 17.2 points per game and has become a solid on-ball scorer. The Bucks have been struggling on both sides of the ball without Antetokounmpo, but try to make it up for it with the three-point shot. Bucks come in ranked sixth in three-pointers made per game at 14.9. The Bulls come in ninth at 14.1 threes made per game. Bulls fans can look for both teams to shoot and make threes and show struggles on defense.
