The Philadelphia 76ers are sitting at 16-14 following a 129-104 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. They are 0-2 to begin this 5-game road trip and have lost three in a row overall. It’s still early in the season, but Philadelphia needs to begin stringing wins together in order to move up the standings in the East.
The Sixers are currently sitting at the No. 6 seed in the East–percentage points ahead of the No. 7 seed Miami Heat–and need to start finding ways to win games and create separation from the teams in the play-in tournament.

The Sixers will continue their road trip against the Memphis Grizzlies before taking on the Dallas Mavericks and then finishing with the New York Knicks. Tyrese Maxey laid out his goals for the final games of the trip.
“We got three more games on this trip,” Maxey told reporters. “We gotta go get them all. It starts in Memphis, go home to Dallas (Maxey’s home), and we fly back to our side of the world, the country, and we got a tough New York team. So, we got to look ahead to what we have, and we’re gonna look at the film, get better, and move on.”
The Sixers have found ways to win despite guys being in and out of the lineup due to injury. It’s been that way all season and it’s why they’ve won more than they’ve lost on the season. They have found a way to rally around each other and get the job done. That is what they will have to do again in order to be successful.
“Play together, man,” Maxey added. “Play together. Play hard. Play the right way, and just stick together, man. It happens, man. You go on a little 3-game skid. It’s part of the NBA journey, but I think we have the right mindset. We have the right mentality, and guys are gonna show up.”
The Sixers and the Grizzlies will battle at the FedEx Forum on Tuesday.
