INDIANAPOLIS — Pacers guard Ben Sheppard will be available for Wednesday’s game against the Magic for the first time since suffering a left calf strain on Dec. 3, coach Rick Carlisle said in his pregame press conference.

Sheppard has played in 22 games this season, including 11 starts, and is averaging 6.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game this season.

With forward Aaron Nesmith having returned Saturday, the Pacers are down to just three players who are out on the injured list and are no longer eligible for hardship exceptions as they have been for most of the season. All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton is out for the season with an Achilles tendon tear, forward Obi Toppin is out until at least February with a stress fracture in his right foot, and center Isaiah Jackson is out with a concussion.
