Giannis Antetokounmpo on his windmill dunk, postgame shoving vs. Bulls
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ryan Rollins and Bobby Portis Jr. spoke on Antetokounmpo’s windmill dunk and postgame shoving vs. Bulls
The Milwaukee Bucks have a chance to close out 2025 with something they haven’t had yet this season: A three-game winning streak.
The Bucks host the lowly Washington Wizards at Fiserv Forum and can win their third straight game after consecutive road wins in Chicago (Dec. 27) and in Charlotte (Dec. 29).
Washington beat Milwaukee in the last meeting between the two teams, however, as Khris Middleton hit a go-ahead bucket in the final minute on Dec. 1. The Bucks won the season opener, spoiling Middleton’s homecoming.
Is Giannis playing?
Yes. Not coincidentally, Antetokounmpo has played in the last two Bucks victories and the team is 11-8 when he plays in some fashion (they’re 1-1 when he has exited early with injury).
What is Giannis’ minutes restriction?
Through the first two games of his return, he’s been limited to 25 minutes of play. He said he believed he would be under some kind of restriction for five-to-10 games, though he does not like playing with such limitation.
“He’s handled it by just playing,” Bucks head coach Doc Rivers said before the game. “I’ve seen guys try and get 48 minutes, or whatever their minutes, in their 25 minutes or whatever they’re playing. He’s not doing that. He’s letting it come to him. He’s not forcing it and that’s really important.”
Despite not being able to play his usual minutes, Antetokounmpo has returned on fire for the Bucks. He has shot 67% (21-for-31) from the floor and 71.4% (10-for-14) from the free throw line while averaging 26.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists. He has also only committed four turnovers.
