The Phoenix Suns begin the new year against the Sacramento Kings on Friday, Jan. 2, at Mortgage Matchup Center.

The 7 p.m. MST game will air on 3TV and Arizona’s Family Sports.

The Suns (19-14) are coming off a 129-113 loss Dec. 31 against the Cleveland Cavaliers to end a four-game road trip, while the Kings (8-26) fell Jan. 1 to the Boston Celtics, 120-106, at home.

Phoenix is 2-0 against the Kings this season.

The Suns may have Grayson Allen (right knee injury management) back as he’s being listed as questionable for the game. Allen has missed Phoenix’s last seven games.

Allen is averaging a career-high 16.3 points, shooting 39.2% from 3.

Jalen Green remains out with a right hamstring strain that has sidelined him for all but two games this season. Jordan Goodwin is listed as available with a jaw sprain and he’ll continue to wear a mask.
