The Memphis Grizzlies are bringing back center Christian Koloko on a second 10-day contract, the team announced on Jan. 2.
Koloko played in five games and made one start during his first 10-day contract. He averaged two points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 18.6 minutes per game.

Memphis is signing Koloko by using an injury hardship exception. Injuries to Brandon Clarke, Zach Edey, Scotty Pippen Jr. and John Konchar make Memphis eligible for the injury exception.
Clarke and Edey’s absences have limited the options at center. Koloko’s rim protection and rebounding have helped Memphis navigate without its top two options at center.
Koloko will be eligible to play in the next six Grizzlies games. His 10-day contract will expire after a Jan. 11 matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.
Memphis will start that stretch with a road game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Jan. 2 (9:30 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network).
