The Oklahoma City Thunder hit rock bottom in their 124-97 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Monday. It’s easily the worst loss of the season — and really, the worst in years in terms of humiliation.
The Thunder trailed by as many as 30 points. A recent mediocre stretch has reached a fever pitch. That’s what happens when you get dominated at home against a rebuild team.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander struggled with 21 points on 7-of-21 shooting. Jalen Williams had 16 points and four assists. Chet Holmgren was quiet with 15 points and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Brandon Miller scored an efficient 28 points. Kon Knueppel went off for 23 points and five rebounds. Miles Bridges had 17 points and 11 rebounds.
