The second fan returns for the NBA All-Star vote were released Tuesday as the selection process for February’s All-Star Game ramps up.
Two Dallas Mavericks made the top 20 among Western Conference vote-getters, as Anthony Davis slotted at No. 14 with 269,979 votes and rookie sensation Cooper Flagg was No. 16 with 236,182 votes. Dallas fans who are still bitter about the infamous Luka Doncic trade may have mixed emotions seeing Doncic as the West’s leding vote-getter with 2,229,811 votes.
Doncic holds a large lead over No. 2 Nikola Jokic, who has 1,998,560 votes. He was the West’s leader in the first return on fan votes as well.
The fan vote counts for 50% of the vote, NBA players’ vote counts for 25% and a media panel counts for the final 25% to select five players in each conference to be honored as starters.
