Cade Cunningham talks Detroit Pistons win vs Knicks in playoff rematch

Cade Cunningham talks Detroit Pistons win vs Knicks in playoff rematch at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.

Cade Cunningham has been downgraded to “questionable” for the Detroit Pistons game today against the Chicago Bulls at Little Caesars Arena.

Cunningham (right wrist contusion) previously was listed as “probable” to play in the 7 p.m. contest on Wednesday, Jan. 7. He also was “probable” leading into their 121-90 blowout win over the New York Knicks on Monday, in which he tallied 27 points and 13 assists.

The Pistons injury report did have good news as well − Caris LeVert (left knee tendinopathy) is “probable” against the Bulls after missing four consecutive games. Duncan Robinson (left calf contusion) is also “probable” to play.

The Pistons (27-9, first in Eastern Conference) will still be without Tobias Harris (left hip sprain) and Jalen Duren (right ankle sprain). Harris is set to be re-evaluated within the next two weeks after missing four games, and Duren is within a week of his re-evaluation date after missing two games.

The Bulls injury report lists point guard Josh Giddey “out” (hamstring strain), center Jalen Smith “out” (concussion) and center Zach Collins “out” (toe). Guard Coby White is “questionable” (right calf management). Chicago is 17-19, ninth in the East.
