These are high times for fans of Indiana football, and there’s at least one big one in Dallas.
Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban, a 1981 graduate of Indiana University, has reportedly made another donation to the Hoosiers’ athletic department. It’s the second straight season he’s done so, according to a report by Front Office Sports.
Cuban, who is worth $6 billion according to Forbes, didn’t give an exact amount of his donation, but told FOS in an email: “Let’s just say they are happier this year than last year.”

Indiana is currently the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff and, at 14-0, is two wins away from capping off a perfect season with its first national championship. The Hoosiers will take on Oregon on Friday for a spot in the National Championship.
Cuban told FOS that he lets Indiana athletic director Scott Dolson decide what to do with the money but that he’d already donated for this transfer portal cycle, which opened on Jan. 2.
It may have already paid off: Indiana has already garnered a transfer commitment from former TCU quarterback Josh Hoover, one of the top recruits in the portal who will likely take over for Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza under center next season.
Cuban was in attendance for the Hoosiers’ win over Alabama at the Rose Bowl last week.
