While the Atlanta Hawks traded their former franchise point guard Trae Young to the Washington Wizards, they might not be done making moves yet.

Young, who was traded in exchange for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert, was the face of the Hawks since he was drafted in 2018. Now, according to reports, the Hawks may have their eyes on someone new who could potentially play a crucial role in their new identity.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Hawks are interested in using their “additional financial flexibility” that could allow them activity on the trade market. With that, they may look for “another big name player” like Anthony Davis.

Charania expects the Hawks to pursue Davis as a “prime target target” from the Mavericks some time before the deadline.

Chris Haynes added that the Mavericks would likely want expiring contracts and a promising young player for Davis.

Other teams reportedly linked to Davis include the Golden State Warriors as well as the Toronto Raptors.

Davis would add interesting two-way talent next to the emerging duo of Jalen Johnson and Dyson Daniels.
