Anthony Edwards scored 23 points, including hitting the game-winner with 16.8 seconds remaining, to beat the Spurs on Sunday.
What we know about Sunday’s games:
Portland had the league’s longest active winning streak (five games), but that was put to a halt in tonight’s contest against the Knicks. New York, with the aid of 50 combined points from OG Anunoby and Jalen Brunson were able to pick up the 123-114 victory.
The Spurs and Timberwolves are two of the top teams in the Western Conference, with each led by a young superstar, Victor Wembanyama and Anthony Edwards, respectively. Tonight they battled down to the wire, and although Victor scored more points, it was Edwards’ dagger with 16.8 seconds left that ended it, giving Minnesota the 104-103 win.
CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert made their debut with the Hawks, following Wednesday’s trade that sent Trae Young to the Wizards. Their first test with their new squad was a success, helping defeat the Warriors 124-111, extending Atlanta’s win streak to three.
Sunday’s top performers:
Tyrese Maxey: 38 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.
Scottie Barnes: 31 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Giannis Antetokounmpo: 31 points, 8 rebounds, 11 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: 29 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal.

Raptors force overtime, then win
Collin Murray-Boyles was arguably the most important player down the stretch for Toronto. First, he dishes the dime that ties the game to force OT,

More Alien activity
Wembanyama continues to produce highlights. He takes Gobert all over the court here, before getting himself enough separation to reach the hoop for the layup.

That’s a long crossover
There’s a reason Wembanyama has been called The Alien, Extraterrestrial, or Area 51. Because he does things that don’t seem of this world. Like here, crossing up Rudy Gobert, then gliding to the hoop and getting the lay-in up over Gobert.

Tough and-1
Paul George and Joel Embiid are out of action tonight for Philadelphia, and that just means more opportunity for Tyrese Maxey to dominate.
That’s what he’s doing with a game-high 23 points, while leading his squad to a 73-71 lead over the Raptors. He’s doing it with tough buckets through contact like this,

Slams continue in Portland
Not to get redundant, but rims are getting rocked in the Moda Center.
This is a fun sequence, with Donovan Clingan blocking Josh Hart’s shot attempt and the ball landing right in Caleb Love’s hands. Down the floor they go, ending with the lob from Love to Shaedon Sharpe, who throws it down.

Magic down the Pelicans
Orlando trailed New Orleans by 7 entering the fourth quarter, but put in a dominant effort in the final frame, outscoring the Pelicans 37-20, to pick up a 128-118 victory.
The pivotal moment, this and-1 play from Paolo Banchero, who flexes his strength in the paint, getting the best of multiple defenders. The bucket tied the game, and the subsequent free throw gave the Magic the lead for good with 4:28 to go in the game.
