TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – 2021 was the last time Gadsden County High School had a boys basketball player sign a scholarship to play in college. That changed Friday, as Jamari Mosley made things official with Bevill State in Alabama.
Mosley was a standout for the Jags, and he said he’s happy to put Gadsden County back on the map when it comes to hoops. He said he’s had to overcome a lot to get to this point, so Friday was a little extra special, and of choosing Bevill State? He said it’s the perfect fit to take him to the next level, and beyond.
“Me going there, it’s just to get my mind right, mentality, make sure I’m on a tight slate and to get my body a little bigger,” he said. “I didn’t really have much growing up so being here right now signing, my whole family here is smiling. so it’s a big achievement for me. It’s going to stay in my heart forever.”
