ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Former Wallkill High girls basketball star Zoe Mesuch earned her third Patriot League Rookie of the Week award for helping Navy’s women’s basketball team to a pair of victories over Bucknell and Lafayette.
Mesuch, a freshman guard, led the Middies to a pair of Patriot League wins with 15 points in a 77-51 victory over Bucknell on Jan. 7, 2026, and 22 points in a 97-58 win over Lafayette on Jan. 10.
Against Bucknell, Mesuch shot 5-for-12 from the field with three 3-pointers. She set new career-highs with 22 points, six 3-pointers and eight assists in the Middies’ victory over Lafayette.
She shot 50 percent (7-for-14) from the field against Lafayette as Navy improved to 3-1 in the Patriot League and 9-6 overall.
Mesuch, a three-time Freeman Girls Basketball Player of the Year (2023-25), is second on Navy’s team with a scoring average of 12.1 points a game. She has made 39 3-pointers and her average of 2.6 made 3-pointers a game is second in the Patriot League and 51st nationally among all Division I players.
