During a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Charlotte Hornets on Thursday evening, fans watching on TV heard sharp criticism of Luka Dončić.
Dončić disagreed with a call from the officiating crew in Los Angeles of John Goble, Che Flores, and Jonathan Sterling. After a 3-point jumper from Miles Bridges, the Lakers superstar was called for a technical foul. Charlotte sent LaMelo Ball to the line, who sunk a free-throw to convert the four-point play.
As the Los Angeles guard was showing his dismay about the call, however, Charlotte announcer Eric Collins called him out for his complaints.
Collins called Dončić a “whiner” for his reaction on the court against the Hornets.
While he isn’t the first to criticize Dončić for this trait, it was fascinating to hear the announcer hold so few punches during this call.
