The Oklahoma City Thunder travel on the road to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. This will be the first matchup of the season between the two squads.
The Thunder (35-8) couldn’t score a game-winner in their 122-120 loss to the Miami Heat on Saturday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had an efficient 39 points, but failed to hit any big-time shots down the stretch.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers (24-19) survived a thriller in a 117-115 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. Jaylon Tyson had a career-best 39 points. Evan Mobley scored the game-winner on an open dunk.

Cavaliers 113, Thunder 109: Injuries are starting to pile up. For both teams. The Thunder will be without Williams with a hamstring strain. Oh, and Hartenstein still. The Cavaliers will be without Garland with a nagging toe injury. Both teams have played better recently. Unfortunately for OKC, this feels like a nightmare matchup where it’ll be dominated on the boards once again. Gilgeous-Alexander should put up an efficient 30-plus points, but it’s difficult to imagine someone else stepping up as a viable go-to scorer. This should be a close game, but Cleveland will come away with the signature win.
ODDS: Thunder by 6.5 points
