The Oklahoma City Thunder travel on the road to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. This will be the first matchup of the season between the two squads.
The Thunder (35-8) couldn’t score a game-winner in their 122-120 loss to the Miami Heat on Saturday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had an efficient 39 points, but failed to hit any big-time shots down the stretch.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers (24-19) survived a thriller in a 117-115 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. Jaylon Tyson had a career-best 39 points. Evan Mobley scored the game-winner on an open dunk.
The Thunder are pretty beat up now. Jalen Williams (hamstring strain) is out. Isaiah Hartenstein (soleus strain) is out. Nikola Topic (testicular surgery) is out. Thomas Sorber (torn ACL) is out. Brooks Barnhizer (G League two-way) is doubtful.
Same for the Cavaliers. Darius Garland (toe sprain) is out. Sam Merrill (hand sprain) is out. Max Strus (foot Jones fracture) is out. Dean Wade (knee contusion) is probable. Chris Livingston (G League two-way) is out. Luke Travers (G League two-way) is out.
