The Orlando Magic are another team that is having a strong 2025-26 season, but are lacking that extra edge as a team to round out the depth and overall talent as a team to fully make a push with being contenders.
With a star player like Paolo Banchero playing in his prime like he is, the Magic need to be going all-in while possible, and a way they can do so is by trading for Karl-Anthony Towns.
When it comes to Karl-Anthony Towns, he is playing at an impactful level once again this season as he is averaging 21 points, 11.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists. This is on par with his typical production as he has averaged 22.9 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game across 11 seasons. He is also under contract still for next season and holds a $61 million player option for 2027-28.
Between the scoring and defensive ability Towns would bring, as well as having a a favorable contract, he makes the most sense for the Magic to trade for at the deadline.
